Janta Curfew is going to be imposed from 7 a.m to 9 p.m on 22 nd March

PM Modi declared a COVID-19 task force that would draw up measures to combat the economic effects of the pandemic, told employers not to cut the pay of staff and called for a "Janta Curfew" on 22nd March. He warned of the outbreaks "wide-ranging" economic impact, underscoring the need to be prepared.

What is Janta Curfew?

Janta Curfew is a curfew of the people, by the people, for the people to fight against Coronavirus. During the Janta Curfew, people are requested to avoid public spaces and stay home for 14 hours.

How to abide by this curfew

  1. All the citizens of the country will stay off the roads and public places.
  2. It will start at 7 a.m. and continue till 9 p.m. on 22 nd March.
  3. People working in essential services such as police, medical services, media, home delivery, fire fighting and serving the Nation etc will no need to take part in this curfew.
  4. At 5 p.m., all the citizens will encourage the people working in essential services, in the times of Corona virus, by standing in their doorways and clapping and ringing their bells.
  5. And also all the citizens will call at least 10 people and tell them about the "Janta Curfew" as well as the measures to prevent everyday.
