Digital Parcel Locker introduced by Indian Post

On March 2020,  Indian Post has launched "Digital Parcel Locker" services to majorly help working professionals who often miss getting their consignments because of not being at home and even they have no one at home to receive consignments during office hours.
According to the India Post official, the facility involves dropping the parcels into 'Digital Parcel Lockers', followed by issuing an SMS intimation with an OTP number to the customer.
A customer will be given a specific locker number as the address where India Post will drop the parcel.
Chief postmaster general of Bengal circle Gautam Bhattacharya told that the facility will be unveiled in two locations initially -one in Nabadiganta IT Post Office, Salt Lake and another in New Town Action area 1 Post Office, with a view to enhance this facility in other locations if the experiment proves successful.
