Jeevan Kaushal is a UGC initiative for providing life skills for undergraduate students at Universities and Colleges.It was passed by HRD minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal.
The life skills curriculum is suggestive. The UGC has requested Vice-Chancellors of all Universities to consider the curriculum for introduction in Universities and affiliated Colleges/institutions at the undergraduate level.

The aim of this scheme is the inculcation of an Emotional Intelligence, development of Intellectual Competencies, development of verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
The program is comprised of four courses Communication skills, Professional and Leadership skills, Problem-solving and Decision-making, Universal human values.
The skills will develop interpersonal skills and adopt good leadership behaviour for the empowerment of self and others.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, formerly Ministry of Education, is responsible for the development of human resources in India.
It was founded in 29 September, 1985 and its headquarter is in Delhi.
