pakistan remains in Grey list by ICRG(The International Cooperation Review Group)


ICRG operates under FATF
The International Cooperation Review Group(ICRG) of the Financial Action Task Force(FATF) announced that Pakistan will remain on the "Grey List" as Pakistan failed to  implement 27 point action plan to stop terrorism . The decision was taken  in its  Paris session.

The Decision

  • ICRG has announce to retain Pakistan in "Grey list" as they have failed to stop terror funding.
  • In 2018 Pakistan was placed on grey list by FATF.
  • FATF has stated  in its Mutual Evaluation Report of Pakistan that the country has failed to take enough action to stop terror financing.

Financial Action Task Force( FATF)

  • The financial action task force is an intergovernmental organization that designs and promotes policies standards to combat  financial crime.
  • It was founded in 1989 and its headquarter is in Paris, France.
  • Its incumbent president is Xiangmin Liu.
