The north east SDG( Sustainable Development Goal ) conclave
2020 is to be held between 24th
February 2020 to 26th February 2020 . This conclave is to be
held in the north east sate Assam. The
national Institute of Transforming India (NITI) Aayog , the policy think tank
of the Government of India will organize the entire program in the capital of
Assam,Guwahati.
The Conclave
The sustainable development goal is to be spread through
this conclave. This conclave is very important for the north eastern states,
mainly because the north eastern states are lagging behind compared to the rest
of the Indian states in terms of development.
As India is aiming at achieving sustainable development goals as was set
to be completed by 2030, this is very important for the India to improve the
comparatively backward regions. The conclave will be attended by the chief
ministers of all the north east states. The chief ministers from Arunachal
Pradesh, Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Sikkim are to
participate in the conclave.
Aim
NITI Aayog is the main catalyst of the government of India
in case of the monitoring of the Sustainable Development goals which are to be achieved
by 2030. This policy making agency of Government of India is currently monitoring
the SDGs at national and regional level. This conclave aims at spreading the awareness
about SDGs and implementing the same in the field of health and nutrition,
skill development, connectivity entrepreneurship, education, infrastructure development,
agriculture, sustainable livelihood, and over all, the climate adaptive
agriculture. The respective sessions are to be executed by respective
specialists.
