Pulwama attack mermorial inaugurated at Lethpora camp:
14th February 2020 was the anniversary of Pulwama attack which snatched the lives
of 40 CRPF ( Central Reserve Police Force) on this day in 2019. A memorial of this attack was inaugurated at
the Lethpora camp on 14th
February 2020.
Key points
The names of the jawans were inscripted on the memorial .
The named stones were also scribed the motto of the CRPF which is – “ Seva and Nishta” means Service and loyalty. In 2019 on this
day a terrorist named Adeel ahmed Dar who
was associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed
terrorist group attacked a convoy of CRPFs
by driving a car which was filled with explosives and killed 40 CRPF
jawans instantly
Effect
The terrorist group which took the liability of this attack
was ‘ Jaish –e-Mohammed’ . This group generally operates from the territory of Pakistan
as was informed by the investigating agencies of INDIA. In reply to that attack the IAF ( Indian Air Force) conducted surgical
strikes in balakot on 26th February
2020 and demolished many terrorist tents within some hours . The IAF major
Abhinandan Vartaman was unfortunately compelled to land on Pakistan territory
by parachute as his aircraft was also hit. Later, under the compulsion which
was made by United Nations security council, Pakistan returned Abhinandan
Vartaman to India .
Before the Loksabha election, 2019, this counter attack to the
terrorists gave an extra USP to the then union government. Later the people of
India showed their faith on the then govt. on ballot box also.
Security level impact
As a consequences of
the same, the Union Home ministry allowed the CRPF jawans to be transited using aerial route. The Jammu and Kashmir Government govt. banned
private vehicles to facilitate the movement of the troops. That means, during
the transit of the troops, no private vehicles were allowed on the road until
the normalcy restored.
