India's tallest peer bridge in Manipur ; important facts

Peer Bridge 

The chairman of Railway Board VK Yadav said that the construction of the India's tallest pier Bridge will be completed ahead of its schedule target of March 2022.
The Northeast Frontier railway construction organization has built this Railway Bridge featured 100 meter tall equivalent to a 33 storey building, across river Makru, in the Tamenglong district of Manipur.
The 555-meter long bridge costing  Rs 283.5-crore is a part of the 111-km Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal new broad gauge line which also has 47 tunnels through steep hills to connect the capital of Manipur with the broad gauge network of the country. The steel girders were pre-fabricated at a workshop in Kolkata.
