National Girl Child Day observed through out the country

Celebration of Girl Child day is observed to make the people aware about the inequalities faced by girls in the country .  International Girl child day is observed on 11th October every year.

Ministry of Women and Child development declared 24th january as National Girl Child day in 2008.
From then it is being celebrated annually.
But even today , girls in our country is humiliated , discriminated and oppressed .  Girl Child marriage is even a regular practice of today's |India.
Foeticide was an initial problem to the girls of the world . India has already made it a law not to detect sex of the unborn child . Thus sex Ratio became stable in India .
Sex ratio is the ratio of male to female population . according to 2018 data , there is 101 male to ever 100 female in the world .
according to Census 2011 in there is 108.9 females to every 100 girls in India.
Normal sex ratio is 103 tto 107. Higher than that is quite unexpected .
In India sex ratio is higher in states like Hayana , Maharashtra , Jammu and Kashmir etc.
